DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OF THE HAPPY CHILD PROGRAM
Together with the company Mesotec, GOIN participated in the evaluation of information management for the Criança Feliz program of the Ministry of Citizenship.
The Ministry of Citizenship sought to understand the potential of new information and communication technologies, as well as Data Science and Artificial Intelligence tools, in improving the results of the Criança Feliz program – the largest public policy focused on early childhood in the country, serving approximately 1 million children aged 0 to 6 in more than 3,000 municipalities.
To evaluate this program, municipal, state, and federal public managers were interviewed to map their work journey and the flow of information necessary for their good performance.
Based on the identification of bottlenecks in the information flow, new technologies were identified that could improve results, including:
Machine learning for vulnerability analysis;
Natural Language Processing (NLP) for identifying the needs of families;
Assessment of housing conditions through image analysis;
Sentiment analysis;
Simulations using Complex Systems, for projecting the impact of the program.
This assessment was one of the inputs for financing the digital transformation through the BNDES funding line.
